Limitations:

  • COMPOSE aggregates demands within only one of each of these 4 demand categories.
  • The 4 demand categories are named: heat, cooling, electricity, and fuel. But may be treasted as any or all.
  • Electricity and fuel storage losses are currently modulated to reflect empirical data using thermal storage loss models.
  • No unit conversion except for currency! All energy units are entered in kWh, power units in kW, mass in kg, volume in liter, temperature in Celcius. By principle, to reduce risk of conversion mistakes. This may however be changed on cloned SERVER.

Deep Issues

  • Investment by fuel rate is not handled for variable efficiency. There has not been a reason for looking more closely at that.
